The highlight is our high-efficacy R2R COB strip:

• 540 LEDs/m version: efficacy up to 160+ lm/W, over 2400 lm per meter
• 480 LEDs/m version: efficacy up to 135+ lm/W

Breaking the industry ceiling that has stood for years

For a long time, the efficacy of conventional COB strips has been stuck at 60–100 lm/W. Previously, there were only two ways to get higher brightness, both with obvious drawbacks:

1. Boost power input for COB strips: higher power consumption, more heat and faster lumen depreciation.
2. Switch to high-power SMD strips: SMD chips show visible dot grain. They cannot be exposed bare and require extra aluminum profiles & PC diffusers, raising cost and taking up extra space.

We focus on solving our customers’ pain points. The 160 lm/W rating is not a one-off spec chase, but a natural breakthrough built on over two decades of expertise in flexible linear lighting.

Skyball, founded in 1999, has been dedicated to flexible linear lighting all the way: from early rainbow tubes, flexible SMD strips, to today’s premium COB strips. Going through this whole technical evolution, we have built systematic know-how: developing high-efficacy FPC with excellent thermal performance, selecting matched chips and flexible substrates, tuning drive current to strike the perfect balance among efficacy, brightness and lifespan. Coupled with our self-developed R2R flip-chip process: flip chips have no bonding wires and run at lower junction temperature. More electricity turns into light instead of heat.
